The Line: North Texas Mean Green +27 -- Over/Under:
The high powered Western Kentucky Hilltoppers go on the road to face the North Texas Mean Green.
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers continued to do what they do best and that is to rack up the yards and score points when they throttled Middle Tennessee State 58-28 in week six. The Hilltoppers were in control throughout and to a 52-14 lead in to the locker room on the way to nearly 600 yards. The Blue Raiders also moved the chains with 419 yards but WKY did most of their damage in the first half. Brand Doughty paced the Toppers with 359 passing yards with five touchdowns and interception with Nicholas Norris catching six passes for 148 yards and a score while Taywan Taylor caught six balls for 120 yards and three TD’s. Anthony Wales gave WKY production on the ground as well with 111 yards on 19 totes.
The struggling North Texas Mean Green have had issues in most areas which hasn’t been conducive to winning. Those issues were obvious in a 66-7 defeat to visiting FCS Portland State Saturday. The Vikings led 45-0 heading to the half on the way to 670 yards and 27 first downs which was impossible to keep up with UNT logging less then 200 yards. The Mean Green received 49 rushing yards from Jeffrey Wilson on nine carries which wasn’t enough to draw attention from the Portland State defense. Quarterback Andrew McNulty had trouble connecting with his receivers on a 10-25 effort for 57 yards with Carlos Harris leading the Mean Green receiving corps with nine catches for 57 yards and the lone touchdown.

The road team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings and the Hilltoppers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings. The way Western Kentucky scores makes it hard to look past them…
