OSU -18 O/U 59.5

TV: FOX

Ohio State seems to be steamrolling its way to the national playoff, but they will get a test when they host Penn State this week.  The Buckeyes have beaten two ranked teams soundly, and close the season against two ranked opponents. Penn State's only loss was to then No. 17 Minnesota. The Nittany Lions are still in the national playoff conversation, albeit at the edge.

Ohio State has scored more than 70 points twice, and more than 50 in three other games. The Buckeyes average 287 yards rushing which is fourth in the nation.  Ohio State is averaging 51.5 points and is among the nation's leaders in holding opponents to 9.8 points. The Buckeyes are averaging 541 yards per game and holding opponents to 216, including 90 on the ground.

Penn State is similar, but not as flashy. The Nittany Lions are in the top 50 in both passing and rushing, averaging 173 running and 253 passing.  Penn State is averaging 36.8 points and holding opponents to 13.5.  Penn State is averaging 426 yards and giving up 316. The Nittany Lions are holding opponents to 75 yards rushing.

Justin Fields has passed for 2164 yards, 31 touchdowns, and one interception. Fields has 377 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns. JK Dobbins has 1289 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns. Ohio State has 42 sacks and 13 interceptions.

Sean Clifford has 2460 yards passing, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions.  Journey Brown has 521 yards rushing. KJ Hamler has 791 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. Penn State has 33 sacks and eight interceptions.

Ohio State has won the last two, and six of the last seven games.

If Penn State did not show that their defense is horrible in the past couple of games the game against Ohio State would be good. However, the Buckeyes offense is really good and difficult to stop, but the Buckeyes have a defense that has crushed and stuffed their opponents on the year so far and that should continue in this game here. Look for the Nittany Lions to struggle offensively in the game as well. Final Score Prediction, Ohio State Buckeyes win and cover 48-20.
