The Line: Oklahoma State Cowboys -12 -- Over/Under:
The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will be matching up in college football action on Saturday from Boone Pickens Stadium.
Texas Tech is sitting at 2-1 on the year so far. The Red Raiders fell 47-27 to Mississippi in their opener, then destroyed Lamar 77-0. This past weekend, Texas Tech managed a 63-49 win over Houston.
In that Houston matchup, Texas Tech’s Alam Bowman had a great day on 43-of-59 passing for 605 yards and five scores. Ta’Zawn Henry led the Raiders rush on 111 yards and four TDs, while Antoine Wesley had 13 catches for a whopping 261 yards and three scores.
Over on the Oklahoma State side, they are currently 3-0 on the young season. The Cowboys have thus far recorded victories over Missouri State 58-17, South Alabama 55-13 and Boise State 44-21 this past Saturday.
In the Boise State game, Oklahoma State QB Taylor Cornelius managed 243 yards and a TD, while Justice Hill logged 15 carries for 123 yards and a score. Tylan Wallace led the OK State receivers on five catches for 105 yards.
The Raiders are 21-6-1 ATS in their last 28 games in September and 18-8 ATS in their last 26 on field turf. Texas Tech is 2-5 ATS in their last seven conference games and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. OK State is 4-1 ATS in their last five on turf and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 conference games.
Aside from the opener against Mississippi, Texas Tech has looked pretty good, especially offensively. As for Oklahoma state, well, they’re Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are doing what we all thought they would do and rolling through the early part of this schedule. I don’t see a whole lot of reasons not to take OK State here.
