The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oklahoma Sooners meet Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders look for their third straight win and third road victory of the year. Patrick Mahomes II is completing 63.8 percent of his passes for 2,618 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. Mahomes has nine touchdown passes in his last three games. Jakeem Grant and Devin Lauderdale have combined for 1,092 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Reginald Davis has 19 receptions. The Texas Tech Red Raiders ground game is averaging 196.8 yards per contest, and DeAndre Washington leads the way with 743 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Texas Tech is allowing 36.9 points and 553.6 yards per game. Dakota Allen leads the Red Raiders with 62 tackles, Branden Jackson has two sacks and J.J. Gaines has four interceptions. Jalen Barnes is questionable.
The Oklahoma Sooners look to remain unbeaten at home and become bowl eligible once again under Bob Stoops. Baker Mayfield is completing 67.4 percent of his passes for 1,875 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions. Mayfield has nine touchdown passes in his last three games. Sterling Shepard and Dede Westbrook have combined for 891 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Durron Neal has 20 receptions. The Oklahoma Sooners ground game is averaging 158.8 yards per game, and Samaje Perine leads the way with 420 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Oklahoma is allowing 18.8 points and 321.7 yards per game. Dominique Alexander leads the Sooners with 50 tackles, Eric Striker has 4.5 sacks and Jordan Thomas has three interceptions.
The Red Raiders are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Sooners are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games in October and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU win of more than 20 points. The Red Raiders are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Oklahoma.
Three of the last four meetings between these teams have been decided by 12 or less points, includng last year's contest. Oklahoma may also be due for a letdown spot after flat out beating the hell out of Kansas State last week on the road. Texas Tech can put up points and has scored 30 points in each of the last two games against the Sooners.
