CFB | Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (7-3) at Old Dominion Monarchs (4-6)

Foreman Field and the Old Dominion Monarchs welcome the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to town in week 13.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are just racking up the wins with solid performances on both sides of the ball as they hit the road to face high powered Old Dominion. The winning continued as the Bulldogs picked up a 40-24 victory at Alabama-Birmingham in week 12. La Tech led 24-10 at the half and never let the Blazers get back in to it with the defense giving up 326 yards and forcing three fumbles. The Bulldogs also gave the ball away three times but totaled 428 yards with plenty of balance. Kenneth Dixon was the star on the ground with 79 yards on 15 carries and three trips to the endzone. Cody Sokol connected 19-33 for 200 yards and a pick with ten yard and eleven yard scoring tosses to Trent Taylor and Carlos Henderson. The Bulldogs did allow a fumble return and kick return for TD's so it wasn't a perfect performance.

The Old Dominion Monarchs came in to 2014 knowing it was their offense that would be their strength as lighting up the scoreboard would be their best chance at winning. This strategy hasn't been a winning one until a 38-35 decision versus Florida International snapped a five game slide. Sattchell Zifferconnected on a 28 yard field goal with no time left to steal the win as they outgained the Golden Panthers 525-388with plenty of balance. Ray Lawry led the Monarchs on the ground with 142 yards on 18 totes with a pair of scores while Taylor Heinicke ran for 52 yards and a TD while completing 20-35 for 315 yards and two touchdowns with Antonio Vaughn leading the receiving corps with six catches for 140 yards with a 74 yard TD.

The over is 3-0-1 in Bulldogs last 4 games following a ATS win and the Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on turf while the Bulldogs are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. For Old Dominion the over is 4-0-1 in Monarchs last 5 games following a S.U. win and is 4-0 in Monarchs last 4 games overall while the over is 4-0 in Monarchs last 4 games in November. Louisiana Tech has been dominating on both sides of the ball and I think they will score here and get enough stops to get the cover...

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
