NC State will go on the road to take on the undefeated Old Dominion Monarchs.
NC State improved to 2-0 with a 35-0 win over Eastern Kentucky last week. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 17/22 for 216 yards and 1 touchdown. Running back Matthew Dayes had a big day on the ground running fir 116 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wide Receiver Jumichael Ramos was the leading receiver catching 7 passes for 95 yards. Receiver Jaylen Samuels also added 6 catches for 88 yards. NC State has won their last two games by at least 282 points. Now the Wolfpack get another non-power 5 conference team in Old Dominion
Old Dominion stayed undefeated as they beat Norfolk State 24-10 last week. Quarterback Shuler Bentley struggled going 12/22 for 122 yards and 1 interception. Running Back Ray Lawry had a big game taking 31 carries for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns. Zach Pascal also added 8 carries for 69 yards. Wide Receiver Vincent Lowe caught 4 passes for 41 yards. Old Dominion has a big win under their belt against Eastern Michigan so they wont be scared of NC State this weekend.
NC State is 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 non-conference games. NC State is 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 games overall. Old Dominion is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games in September. The Monarchs are 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 non-conference games.
This is another tough game to pick with the unknowns of Old Dominion. The Monarchs have beaten Eastern Michigan at home so they wont be scared of NC State. I will take Old Dominion and the points at home.
