The Line: Ole Miss Rebels -7 -- Over/Under: 60.5
The Ole Miss Rebels and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday in week 4 SEC college football action.
The Ole Miss Rebels are off to a 1-2 start after blowing big leads in big games to Alabama and Florida State. The Mississippi offense is averaging 38.3 points and 441 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 7 times. Rebels QB Chad Kelly has completed 63.2 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Akeem Judd is Ole Miss’ top rusher with 153 yards and 2 touchdowns and Evan Engram is the top receiver with 20 catches and two touchdowns. Defensively Ole Miss is allowing 35.3 points and 464 yards per game and only grabbing two turnovers. Terry Caldwell is the Rebels leading tackler with 24, DeMarquis Gates has 21 tackles, and Zedrick Woods has 18 tackles. Ole Miss still has time too put together a solid season but the winning has to start now.
The Georgia Bulldogs are off to a 3-0 start after a hard fought come from behind win over Missouri in week 3. The Georgia offense is averaging 29 points and 418.7 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 5 times. Dawgs QB Jacob Eason has completed 55.2 percent of his passes with 5 touchdowns and two interceptions. Nick Chubb anchors the Georgia rushing attack with 365 yards and 3 touchdowns and Isaiah McKenzie has 18 receptions and 4 touchdowns. Defensively UGA is allowing 25 points and 340.7 yards per game with 5 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, and 3 sacks. Natrez Patrick leads Georgia with 20 tackles, Trenton Thompson has 15 tackles, and Roquan Smith has 14 tackles. Georgia needs to protect Eason better as he has been sacked 9 times.
Ole Miss is 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 home games, and 4-1 against the spread following a loss. Georgia is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games, 2-5 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, and 2-5 against the spread in their last 7 SEC games. Georgia has covered the point spread in six of their last 8 games against Ole Miss.
Ole Miss has been blowing leads while Georgia has mounted a nice comeback last week. I see Ole Miss winning but Georgia making a game of it late.
