The Line: Oregon Ducks -7.5 -- Over/Under:
The California Golden Bears will travel to take on the Oregon Ducks in a late night Pac-12 conference game.
The Oregon Ducks are coming off of a victory against Arizona State in overtime. Oregon’s offense is averaging 42 points per game with 514.4 yards per game. Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. leads the Oregon offense with 1168 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Royce Freeman is the lead back for Oregon with 1109 yards and 11 touchdowns. Bralon Addison is the leading receiver for Oregon with 453 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Oregon defense is giving up 38.4 points per game with 496.9 yards per game. Oregon’s defense has 26 sacks, 6 fumble recoveries, and 9 interceptions. Oregon is a completely different team when Vernon Adams Jr. is healthy and it has really shown in their last 2 games. Oregon’s defense is still a question mark but their offense can usually make up for the defense.
The California Golden Bears are coming off of a loss to USC in their last game. The California offense is averaging 35.8 points per game with 490.2 yards per game. Quarterback Jared Goff leads the Cal offense with 2537 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Khalfani Muhammad is the leading rusher for Cal with 459 yards and 1 touchdown. Kenny Lawler is the big play receiver for Cal with 527 yards and 9 touchdowns. The Cal defense is giving up 26.8 points per game with 418.4 yards per game. Cal’s defense has 22 sacks, 10 fumble recoveries, and 12 interceptions. Cal was having a good season before losing 3 in a row in their last 3 games. They will look to get back on track against a good Oregon team.
Cal is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games. Cal is 9-19 in their last 28 conference games. The under is 5-0 in Cal’s last 5 games overall. Oregon is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 November games. Oregon is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. The over is 4-1 in Oregon’s last 5 games on field turf. The under is 7-0 in these two teams last 7 meetings in Oregon.
Oregon comes into the game on a 2 game win streak and their offense looked great in their last game. Cal has been sliding a bit on this 3 game losing streak but they have the talent to compete in the Pac-12. This game should be very good and there will most likely be a lot of points scored. I am taking Cal to cover in this one because I trust their defense more than I trust Oregon’s defense.
