CFB | Southern Cal Trojans (6-3) at Oregon Ducks (7-3)

The USC Trojans will travel to play the Oregon Ducks in a Pac-12 conference game on Saturday.

The Oregon Ducks are coming off of a huge win against Stanford by a score of 38-36. Oregon was able to stop Stanford on their two-point conversion to seal the road victory on Saturday. The Oregon offense is averaging 41.8 points per game with 543.4 yards per game. Oregon’s offense is led by quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. who has 1673 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. Royce Freeman is the leading rusher for Oregon with 1392 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bralon Addison is the leading receiver for Oregon with 564 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Oregon defense is giving up 32.9 points per game with 489.6 yards per game. Oregon’s defense has 29 sacks, 8 fumble recoveries, and 11 interceptions. Oregon looked very impressive in their win over Stanford and will need to keep putting up points in this matchup with USC.

The USC Trojans are coming off of a close win against Colorado by a score of 27-24 on Friday night. USC was down at the half but rallied in the second half and hung on to beat a pesky Colorado team. The USC offense is averaging 36 points per game with 465.4 yards per game. Quarterback Cody Kessler leads the USC offense with 2715 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Ronald Jones II is the leading rusher for USC with 771 yards and 6 touchdowns. JuJu Smith-Schuster is the leading receiver for USC with 1160 yards and 10 touchdowns. The USC defense is giving up 22.7 points per game with 385 yards per game. USC’s defense has 29 sacks, 8 fumble recoveries, and 11 interceptions this season. USC has won four games in a row and has really been successful with their new coach. USC has a chance to play in the Pac-12 title game, but needs a big win at Oregon this weekend to keep those hopes alive.

USC is 7-16 ATS in their last 23 road games. USC is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 November games. The under is 7-1 in USC’s last 8 road games. Oregon is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Oregon is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games. Oregon is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win. The over is 4-0 in these two teams last 4 matchups. The favorite is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings.

Oregon is looking like the team that we thought they would be coming into this season and is playing like the best team in the Pac-12 at the moment. Ever since Vernon Adams Jr. got fully healthy, this has been a scary team to go up against. USC is also in great shape right now as they have won four in a row. The question will be if USC’s defense can slow down Oregon at all, but I do not think they can. I think Oregon puts up a lot of points, but can their defense do enough to stop USC? With the game being played at Oregon, I am picking Oregon to win this one.
