The Norfolk State Spartans and Rutgers Scarlet Knights play Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium.

The Norfolk State Spartans look to bounce back after a 4-8 season. However, three of those victories came on the road. Malik Stokes takes over at quarterback after completing 44.4 percent of 18 pass attempts last season. Isaac White and Markice Street combined for 900 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while James Church Jr. had five receptions for 41 yards. Eric Pittman takes over at running back for Norfolk State after racking up 139 yards on 26 carries last season. Defensively, Deon King returns after picking up 18 tackles for loss last season, Brandon Walker had eight pass deflections and Lamar Neal had 85 tackles.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights look to reach a bowl game for the fourth straight season under head coach Kyle Flood. Chris Laviano takes over at quarterback after completing 39.3 percent of his 28 pass attempts. Laviano will be suspended for the first half of this game. Leonte Carroo and Janarion Grant combined for more than 1,300 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while Andre Patton had 20 receptions as a sophomore. Paul James takes over at running back after racking up 363 yards and five touchdowns on 63 carries. Defensively, Steve Longa returns after leading Rutgers with 102 tackles, Darius Hamilton had 11.5 tackles for loss and Anthony Cioffi had two interceptions.

The spread and the total of this game are extremely close together, which has me scratching my head a bit. Both of these teams have some decent receivers who should be able to move the ball and help put some points on the board. I don't like this much chalk with a Rutgers team that's breaking in a new QB and what not.

I'm siding with the over in this game.
