The Line: South Florida Bulls +3 -- Over/Under:
Raymond James Stadium and the South Florida Bulls host the Cincinnati Bearcats in week 12.
The Cincinnati Bearcats have won three of four capped off by a 49-38 win versus visiting Tulsa that has the team looking at a 6-4 record. The Bearcats held a 652-588 yardage edge and survived three turnovers to keep their Bowl hopes alive. Cinci was able to do anything with quarterback Gunner Kiel throwing for 386 yards and a pair of touchdowns with an interception on 29-42 with Mekale McKay and Shaq Washington combining for 192 yards on 14 receptions. Mike Boone paced Cincinnati on the ground with 137 yards and three trips to the end zone on 18 toted while the duo of Tion Green and Hosey Williams combined for 127 yards and a TD each on 20 carries.
I thought the South Florida Bulls were one of the poorer teams in the game early on but they have figured things out to win five of six following a one sided 44-23 victory against visiting Temple in week eleven that upped their record to a Bowl worthy 6-4. A 31-10 lead heading to the locker room set the tone as the Bulls totaled 556 yards while limiting the Owls to 380 yards. Quarterback Quinton Flowers gave USF a strong passing attack with 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 15-22 with Rodney Adams hauling in seven throws for 147 yards and a score. South Florida was prolific on the ground behind Marlon Mack’s 230 yard, two score performance while Flowers added another 90 yards and a TD.
The Bearcats are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and the under is 7-1 in Bearcats last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game while the Bearcats are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games in November. The under is 6-0 in Bulls last 6 Friday games and the Bulls are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while going 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games on grass. The Bearcats are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 meetings and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in South Florida. Right now I’ll take the points on the home team and watch the line…
