The Houston Cougars look for a win when they visit Raymond James Stadium to face the South Florida Bulls.
The Houston Cougars are looking to keep the wins rolling in when they visit South Florida in week ten. The Cougars shoot for win number three in a row after routing Temple 31-10 behind strong play on both sides of the ball. The Cougars defense limited the Owls to 357 yards with a fumble recovery and a trio of interceptions including a 29 yard pick six by Trevon Stewart. UH totaled 439 yards behind a solid passing attack and a whopping 42+ minutes of possession. Ryan Jackson was the only runner of note with 75 yards on 18 totes with Kenneth Farrow posting 52 yards on 18 touches and a four yard TD. Greg Ward Jr. paced the offense in the air with a near perfect 29-33 performance for 268 yards with seven yard and 30 yard touchdowns to Deontay Greenberry and Ryan Jackson.
The South Florida Bulls look for a return to the win column when conference rival Houston comes to town on Saturday. The Bulls had shown improvement the past several weeks but struggled mightily in a 31-17 loss at Cincinnati in week nine. The Bulls fell behind 20-3 heading to the locker room and never got their feet under them. The Bearcats amassed almost 600 yards equally split between the run and pass. South Florida struggled to move the chains with 281 yards and 12 first downs while also turning the ball over four times against a defense that has also struggled. Marlon Mack led the ground game with 54 yards on 12 touches with Mike White throwing for 92 yards and a pair of picks which benched him in favor of Steven Bench who threw 38 yard and 67 yard touchdowns.
The under is 5-0 in Cougars last 5 games in November with the Cougars going 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games on grass. and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. For South Florida the Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game while the under is 10-1 in Bulls last 11 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. If South Florida plays how they did before the Cincinnati loss they can win but if the Cougars continue to look like the 2013 version they will get the job done...
