Syracuse Orange -2.5 . Total 60.0

TV: ACCN

The Boston College Eagles travel to face ACC opponent the Syracuse Orange.  The Eagles enter this contest with a record of (4-4) thus far.  The Eagles are coming off a blowout loss to highly ranked Clemson, 59-7.  The Orange enter this home game with a record of (3-5) so far this season.  Syracuse enters this game after losing 35-17 to Florida State.

In the loss to Clemson, the Eagles quarterbacks were 6 of 18 passing for 80 yds.  AJ Dillon had 76 yds rushing on 19 carries and 1 touchdown.  The Eagles got it absolutely handed to them in the game, the Eagles were out gained in yds, 674 to 177.  The Eagles only had 1 turnover in the game.  The Tigers defense was just to much for the Eagles in the game.

Syracuse in the game against Florida State was led offensively by by running back Moe Neal.  Neal had 74 yds on 20 rushes and one touchdown.  Quarterback Tommy DeVito was 20/33 for 151 yds, with no touchdowns and no picks.  As a team, the Orange rushed for 192 yds on 51 carries and 2 rushing touchdowns.  The Orange were out gained 487 to 343 in the game.  The Orange did not have any turnovers in the game, but the Orange did hurt themselves, by committing 14 penalties.

Recent Betting Trends:

Boston College is 4-1 ATS as an underdog this season.

Boston College is 5-3 ATS in all games this season.

The over is 4-1 in Boston College conference games.

Syracuse is 2-6 ATS in all games this season.

Syracuse is 2-1 ATS as a favorite this season.

The under is 6-2 in Syracuse games.

Syracuse, I'm guessing is favored because the Orange are at home. There are multiple view points that lead to Boston College instead.  The Eagles have been a lot better against the spread then the Orange have.  The Syracuse defense has been giving out rushing yds recently at will.  The Orange gave up 241 yds to the Seminoles, 145 yds to Pittsburgh, and 201 yds to Western Michigan. The Eagles like to rush the ball, thanks to their starting running back in AJ Dillon. The Eagles rank 12th in rushing yds per game.  Look for the Eagles to take advantage of the Syracuse inability to stop the run.  Final score prediction, Boston College out right wins and therefore covers, 27-24.
