TCU Horned Frogs (6-0) at Iowa State Cyclones (2-3)
|Date & Time||Saturday October 17, 2015, 7:00 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Iowa State Cyclones +20 -- Over/Under: 74.5
The Texas Christian Horned Frogs travel to Jack Trice Stadium to oppose the Iowa State Cyclones.
Although the Texas Christian Horned Frogs are a threat to win the National Championship they have had a few close calls and none closer then their 52-45 win at Kansas State where they trailed 35-17 heading in to the half. The Horned Frogs owned total yardage 543-385 and recorded a pick six. Quarterback Trevone Boykin led the balanced TCU offense with 301 passing yards on 20-30 with two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions with receiver of choice Josh Doctson hauling in eight balls for 1555 yards and both scores. The Horned Frogs averaged 10 ½ yards per rush with Aaron Green and Boykin combined for 245 yards on just 22 carries with both scoring two times apiece.
The Iowa State Cyclones need to avoid too many more defeats or their dreams of reaching the postseason will be over. The Cyclones fell to 2-3 following a 66-31 loss at Texas Tech as the defense struggled to get stops with the Red Raiders racking up 776 yards and 33 first downs. ISU moved the chains well with nearly 500 yards but were hurt with three turnovers. Quarterback Sam Richardson couldn’t get anything going for the Cyclones in the air with139 yards on 10-21 with a touchdown and three interceptions with top receiver Quenton Bundrage snagging three balls for 75 yards and a score. The bread and butter of the Cyclones attack was the running of Mike Warren who went off for 345 yards on 23 carries.
The under is 4-0 in Horned Frogs last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous games and theHorned Frogs are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games on grass while TCU are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The under is 5-0 in Cyclones last 5 games following a ATS loss and is 7-0 in Cyclones last 7 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points while going 6-0 in Cyclones last 6 games following a S.U. loss. I think TCU will be doing plenty of scoring and I don’t know if the Cyclones can match scores…
