The 11th ranked Utah Utes meet up with the Texas Longhorns in the Valero Alamo Bowl. The Utes are (11-2), coming off a 37-15 loss to the 13th ranked Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship. The Longhorns are (7-5), after ending the regular season with a win over Texas Tech, 49 to 24.

Duvernay registered 1,294 yds receiving, while finding the end zone 8 times. Texas was led defensively in tackles by Brandon Jones with 86. Texas had 22 sacks as a team.
