The Line: Texas State Bobcats -13 -- Over/Under: 74
The Texas State Bobcats welcome the New Mexico State Aggies to Bobcat Stadium in Sun Belt action.
An 0-7 start to the year has the New Mexico State Aggies looking towards next season but they never gave up in a big come from behind 55-48, overtime win at Idaho in week nine as a seven point underdog. The Aggies rallied from a 23-7 deficit at the half with both teams combining for over 1,200 yards. Quarterback Andrew Allen gave the Aggies 300 passing yards with three touchdowns and an interception on 22-38 with Joshua Bowen hauling in ten receptions for 106 yards. The pass first Aggies received a monster 212 yard, four touchdown effort from Larry Rose III while Allen added 92 yards for some dual theat.
Sometimes I don’t know what to expect from the Texas State Bobcats although they have taken a step back from last season. The Bobcats gave Georgia Southern all they could handle for 30 minutes before fading in the second half of a 37-13 road defeat. At the final gun the Eagles 500+ rushing yards were too much for the Bobcats 213 yards. Quarterback Tyler Jones never got the passing game going with 87 yards with a touchdown and interception on 10-25 with Jafus Gaines posting two receptions for 38 yards and a score. Texas State received 91 rushing yards from Robert Lowe but the team wasn’t real successful at much.
The Aggies are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the over is 4-0 in Aggies last 4 vs. a team with a losing record. The Bobcats are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in November and the over is 6-1-1 in Bobcats last 8 vs. a team with a losing record while theBobcats are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on fieldturf. Backing either squad is a risk but the Bobcats for now…
