Week 13 college football gives us the Arkansas State Red Wolves visiting the Texas State Bobcats.

The Arkansas State Red Wolves sit atop the West Division of the Sun Belt thanks to three straight wins after downing Louisiana-Monroe 31-17. Arkansas State owned a 404-276 edge in yards and recorded three interceptions while playing mistake free football.

Red Wolves quarterback Justice Hansen completed 21-27 for 248 yards and three touchdowns while running five times for two yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Marcel Murray was the ASU rushing attack with 94 yards on 17 carries with a 35 yard run. Kirk Merritt topped  the Red Wolves with eight receptions for 89 yards and a pair of scoring catches while Justin Clifton recorded a pick six.

The Texas State Bobcats gave Troy all they could handle in a 12-7 loss in week 12. Texas State outgained the Trojans 284-220 but gave the ball away six times which killed their chances at pulling off the road upset.

Bobcats quarterback Tyler Vitt had a game to forget completing 9-23 for 155 yards with five interceptions while running seven times for 23 yards.

Caleb Twyford was the most productive Texas State player with 73 rushing yards on eleven carries with Anthony Taylor adding 32 yards and a touchdown on 13 totes. Hutch White and Mason Hayes gave the Texas State receiving corps 35 yard and 38 yard receptions.

I saw what Texas State did versus Troy but I think that got the attention of Arkansas State…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
