The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Baylor Bears square off Saturday afternoon at AT&T Stadium.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders would love a big win here after blowing last week’s game to TCU. Patrick Mahomes II is completing 63.4 percent of his passes for 1,421 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. Mahomes has 17 touchdown passes in his last five games. Jakeem Grant and Devin Lauderdale have combined for 720 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Reginald Davis has 13 receptions. The Texas Tech Red Raiders ground game is averaging 197.2 yards per contest, and DeAndre Washington leads the way with 475 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Texas Tech is allowing 36 points and 556.3 yards per game. Micah Awe leads the Red Raiders with 34 tackles, Tevin Madison has two pass deflections and Jah'Shawn Johnson has two forced fumbles.

The Baylor Bears look to keep their spot in the polls and improve to 4-0 on the season. Seth Russell is completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 995 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. Russell leads the country in touchdown passes. Corey Coleman and Jay Lee have combined for 715 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns while KD Cannon has six receptions. The Baylor Bears ground game is averaging 379.6 yards per contest, and Shock Linwood leads the way with 363 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Baylor is allowing 23 points and 318.3 yards per game. Grant Campbell leads the Bears with 23 tackles, Shawn Oakman has two sacks and Travon Blanchard has three pass deflections. Devin Chafin is questionable.

The Bears are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 23-10-1 ATS in their last 34 games overall. The Red Raiders are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 neutral site games and 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Texas Tech just went toe-to-toe with TCU and actually probably should have won. Baylor has yet to play a quality program, so this game will certainly give us a better idea of where the Bears are at. When you look at what the Red Raiders did last week and the fact this game is played in Jerry's World, I like the value of the points here.

Pick:
Texas Tech Red Raiders +14
