The Miami (FL) Hurricanes take the field with the Toledo Rockets in a week three college football tilt.
The Miami Hurricanes took out their frustrations on Savannah State 77-0 as a 61 point favorite to bounce back from an opening day loss at LSU. Miami easily won the yardage battle 494-78 and turnover battle 4-2.
Hurricanes QB Malik Rosier hit 8-12 for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns with N’Kosi Perry completing 9-14 for 93 yard and three TD’s and an interception.
Lorenzo Lingard paced the Canes on the ground with four touches for 82 yards and a pair of trips to the end zone while Jeff Thomas scored on a 67 yard scoring reception. Miami emptied the bench and didn’t run up the score despite the outcome.
The Toledo Rockets kicked off their schedule with a one sided 66-3 rout of VMI as a 48 point favorite. Toledo dominated total yardage 603-222 and owned a 3-0 edge in the turnover department.
Rockets quarterback Mitchell Guadagni connected on 11-16for 265 yards and three touchdowns while Eli Peters and Carter Bradley combined to complete 11-16 for another 125 yards.
Bryant Koback paced Toledo on the ground with 67 yards on nine carries with a pair of trips to the end zone while Diontae Johnson and Cody Thompson caught three balls each for a combined 148 yards and a TD apiece.

Right now I think we see the Hurricanes come away with a win and cover but their fortunes rest on how the passing game fares…
