Troy Trojans -5.5 O/U: 60.5
The Arkansas State Red Wolves and the Troy Trojans will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Arkansas State comes into this one at 2-2 overall. The Wolves have fallen to SMU and Georgia this season but taken out UNLV and Southern Illinois en route to their current record.
In the Southern IL win, Arkansas State QB Logan Bonner put up 320 yards and four scores, while Isaiah Azubuike led the rush on 88 yards. Omar Bayless had 141 yards and a TD receiving from three grabs.
Over on the Troy side, they’re 2-1 this year after a loss to Southern Miss 47-42 and wins over Campbell 43-14 and Akron 35-7.
In the Zips win, Troy QB Kaleb Barker had 214 yards, three scores and a pick, and DK Billingsley had 100 yards and a TD rushing. Luke Whittemore had 64 yards on seven catches as well.
The Red Wolves are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 on turf and 42-19-1 ATS in their last 62 conference games. Arkansas State is 3-9 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Trojans are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 conference games and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS win. Troy is 5-1 ATS in their last six games in September and 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 overall.
Outside of a tough draw against Georgia, the Red Wolves have been scoring pretty consistently this season. Arkansas State has put up at least 30 points in each of those three other games.
As for Troy, they’ve been scoring well also, with at least 35 in their three games. This should be a high-flying affair, and at home I like Troy to eke out a cover.
