CFB | Tulsa Golden Hurricane (5-6) at Tulane Green Wave (3-7)

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have their Bowl hopes on the line at the Tulane Green Wave.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are 5-6  so they must defeat Tulane in week 13 to become Bowl eligible. The Golden Hurricane have hurt their chances with back to back losses following a 44-21 loss to visiting Navy. Tulsa trailed 23-7 at the half and never got going with the bottom line being the Midshipmen racked up 475 rushing yards. The Golden Hurricane managed 356 yards but needed a rushing attack with Zack Langer and D’Angelo Brewer combining for 112 yards and three scores on 26 totes. Dane Evans threw for 278 yards with Conner Floyd hauling in ten receptions for 72 yards.

The Tulane Green Wave have lost six of seven and have been real strong on either side of the ball. That was the case in week 12 in a 49-21 defeat at Southern Methodist where they trailed 35-7 after 30 minutes and never challenged. The Mustangs totaled over 500 yards with Tulane mustering 328. The passing attack simply struggled with  Tanner Lee completing 9-22 for 103 yards and a touchdown with Larry Dice leading the Green Wave with a pair of catches for 39yards and a score. Tulane ran effectively with the duo of Dontrell Hilliard and Sherman Badie combining for 157 yards on 21 touches.

The Golden Hurricane are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and are are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. While the over is 7-0 in Golden Hurricane last 7 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game. The Green Wave are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 Friday games and the under is 4-0 in Green Wave last 4 Friday games while the  Green Wave are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss. The Golden Hurricane are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings and the favorite is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings while the under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Tulane. I’m going with the road team in the postseason hunt…

Tulane -3

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
