The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are 5-6 so they must defeat Tulane in week 13 to become Bowl eligible. The Golden Hurricane have hurt their chances with back to back losses following a 44-21 loss to visiting Navy. Tulsa trailed 23-7 at the half and never got going with the bottom line being the Midshipmen racked up 475 rushing yards. The Golden Hurricane managed 356 yards but needed a rushing attack with Zack Langer and D’Angelo Brewer combining for 112 yards and three scores on 26 totes. The Tulane Green Wave have lost six of seven and have been real strong on either side of the ball. That was the case in week 12 in a 49-21 defeat at Southern Methodist where they trailed 35-7 after 30 minutes and never challenged. The Mustangs totaled over 500 yards with Tulane mustering 328. The passing attack simply struggled with Tanner Lee completing 9-22 for 103 yards and a touchdown with Larry Dice leading the Green Wave with a pair of catches for 39yards and a score. Tulane ran effectively with the duo of Dontrell Hilliard and Sherman Badie combining for 157 yards on 21 touches.
