The Line: Tulsa Golden Hurricane -11 -- Over/Under:
The Central Florida Knights make the long trip to Oklahoma to battle the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The Central Florida Knights are obviously not the same team of years past with problems on both sides of the ball. Those problems continued in a 52-7 defeat at Cincinnati in week nine that dropped the Knights to 0-7. The Bearcats roared to a 35-0 lead at the half and never looked back with 726 yards of offense. UCF totaled 313 yards but most came on the ground and the offense needed a big effort. Quarterback Justin Holman didn’t give the Knights enough in the air as he completed 12-23 for 101 yards and an interception with Tre’Quan Smith logging five receptions for 59 yards. CJ Jones was strong on the ground Central Florida with 123 yards and a score on 18 totes.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane sit at 4-4 and have their Bowl hopes in their own hands after a 40-31 win at Southern Methodist snapped a two game skid. As is the norm the offense carried Tulsa with both teams finishing just above 400 yards with the Golden Hurricane benefitting from a pick six and a pair of SMU turnovers. Quarterback Dane Evans led a balanced attack with 240 passing yards on 19-27 with leading receiver Justin Hobbs logging seven receptions for 150 yards. The Golden Hurricane were effective on the ground behind D’Angelo Brewer rambling for 119 yards on 23 touches with a trip to the end zone.
The Knights are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games on fieldturf and the over is 4-0-1 in Knights last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the Knights are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. The over is 7-1 in Golden Hurricane last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and is 7-1 in Golden Hurricane last 8 games following a ATS win while going 13-3 in Golden Hurricane last 16 home games. The favorite is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings and the home team is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings while the under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings. This should be all Tulsa with points to spare…
