The Line: Tulsa Golden Hurricane +17.5 -- Over/Under:
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane host the East Carolina Pirates in week 14 AAC action on Friday.
The East Carolina Pirates are looking for a strong finish to the season when they visit Tulsa. The Pirates are hoping to build on their 34-6 victory over visiting Tulane that snapped a two game skid in their most complete performance since blowing out North Carolina. ECU was dominant on both sides of the ball with nearly 500 yards and 30 first downs far outdistancing Tulane's 325 yards and 14 first downs. Tulane threw for 300 yards while ECU was pass heavy with some decent running. Breon Allen was the Pirates best runner with 74 yards on 18 totes with a score while Marquez Grayson added 39 yards and another six. Shane Carden was explosive in the air with 358 yards and a touchdown with Cam Worthy and Justin Hardy combining for 219 yards on 16 catches.
The once proud Tulsa Golden Hurricane look for just their third victory of the season in their final game of the year versus conference power East Carolina. Tulsa has dropped consecutive contests following a 38-28 defeat at Houston with the Cougars closing the game on a 10-0 run. UH led in yardage 471-416 with the Golden Hurricane losing the turnover battle 3-0. While Houston could both run and throw Tulsa could as well but not as productive. Zack Langer paced the Golden Hurricane on the ground with 124 yards on 29 carries with a trip to the endzone with quarterback Dane Evans adding 34 yards and a TD with his legs. Evans was mistake prone in the air with 258 yards with a pair of touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Pirates are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Friday games while the over is 6-0 in Pirates last 6 Friday games with the Pirates going 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win. For the Tulsa the over is 4-0 in Golden Hurricane last 4 games following a S.U. loss while the Golden Hurricane are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and the over is 10-1 in Golden Hurricane last 11 home games. Head to head the Pirates are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings. I don't like either team to be honest but the one thing Tulsa can do is throw a bit and East Carolina can be thrown on so I'll take the points...
