The Southern Methodist Mustangs look for a road victory versus the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Saturday.

The Southern Methodist Mustangs go in search of win number one with a trip to Tulsa in week eleven. The Mustangs stayed winless with a 48-10 defeat at the hands of Memphis where they trailed by 24 heading in to the locker room and were never able to get back in to it. The Tigers simply had too much firepower with 582 yards with the ability to both run and throw. On the flip side SMU fell behind and abandoned an okay rushing attack for ab air game that struggled. Garrett Krstich hit on 10-22 for 59 yards and a pair of interceptions while Matt Davis paced the run with 46 yards on seven touches with Prescott Line totaling 38 yards on 12 carries with a one yard touchdown. The game in a nutshell was Southern Methodist continued to have issues on both sides of the ball.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane look for win number two when Southern Methodist visits in week eleven. The Golden Hurricane are looking to end a seven game slide following Friday's 40-20 defeat at Memphis. Tulsa played a great first half where the trailed just 20-14 but nothing went favorably over the final 30 minutes. Most of Tulsa's 411 yards came in a surprisingly strong first half and most came through the air with no ability to run the ball. The Golden Hurricane did pose some issues for the Tigers secondary with Dane Evans connecting on 28-54 for 349 yards with no interceptions with one yard and 28 yard touchdowns to Keyarris Garrett and Derek Patterson respectively. Keevan Lucas paced the Golden Hurricane receiving Corps with eleven catches for 120 yards.

The over is 5-0 in Mustangs last 5 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game and is 4-0 in Mustangs last 4 games after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous game while going 5-0 in Mustangs last 5 games following a ATS loss. For Tulsa the over is 6-0 in Golden Hurricane last 6 home games and is 4-0 in Golden Hurricane last 4 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game while going 6-0 in Golden Hurricane last 6 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game. Head to head the under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Tulsa with the underdog going 8-1 ATS in their last 9 meetings with the under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings. The Golden Hurricane as a substantial favorite seems ludicrous but if they are going to cover this is the game...

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
