The Line: UCLA Bruins -4.5 -- Over/Under: 70.5
The UCLA Bruins and the Arizona Wildcats face off on Saturday Night in a Pac-12 college football matchup.
The UCLA Bruins have won their last two games and while both were in the Pac-12 they were both on the road and the wins came by a combined five points. UCLA was pushed to overtime last week against Colorado in a game they were a big favorite in and that followed up beating Cal by just two the prior week. The UCLA offense is averaging 35.8 points per game and 494.5 yards and are led by QB Bret Hundley who has completed 70.8 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed for 415 yards and five touchdowns. Paul Perkins has had a great year leading the Bruins ground attack with 996 yards and five touchdowns and Jordan Payton has 47 receptions and six touchdowns to lead the UCLA receivers and Devin Fuller has 38 receptions. The UCLA defense hasn’t been good enough allowing 30.2 points and 434.9 yards but they have just 10 sacks. Eric Kendricks has 93 tackles, Myles jack has 62 tackles, and Kenny Clark has 44 tackles. By any measurement UCLA has fallen short of expectations this season.
The Arizona Wildcats have just one loss this season and they are quietly one of the biggest surprises in all of college football. Arizona bounced back from their first los of the season by blasting Washington State last Saturday. The Arizona offense is averaging 40.6 points and 541.9 yards and they are led by QB Anu Solomon who has completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 20 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Nick Wilson leads the Arizona rushing attack with 592 yards and seven touchdowns and Cayleb jones is the leading receiver with 46 catches and seven touchdowns. Defensively Arizona allows 28.3 points and 447.9 yards per game with just 10 turnovers created and 19 sacks. Scooby Wright has 78 tackles and nine sacks, Jared Tevis has 64 tackles, and Jourdan Grandon has 42 tackles. Arizona has a chance to win the Pac-12 and go to a big bowl game.
UCLA is 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games, 0-4 against the spread in their last four games, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Arizona is 1-7 against the spread following a win, 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 0-4 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread.
This looks like a lot of points for this game so my free pick is going to be the Under. I also have a strong play on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
