The Air Force Falcons look for continued success with a trip to Sam Boyd Stadium to face the UNLV Rebels.
The Air Force Falcons are looking to continue their winning ways when they visit UNLV on Saturday. The Falcons have been enjoying one of their best seasons in several years after a 23-6 victory at Army was their fifth win in six contests. The Falcons broke open a 6-3 game at the half with a 17-3 run over the final 30 minutes to win easily. The defense held the Black Knights option in check with just 169 yards allowed with just 122 yards coming on the ground. The Falcons totaled 383 yards with some balance with some effective passingleading the way. Quarterback Kale Pearson completed 8-14 for 141 yards with two yard and 54 yard touchdowns to Garrett Griffin while tossing a pick. Jacobi Jones led a productive rushing attack with 118 yards with Shayne Davern and Pearson combining for 96 yards on 22 totes.
The UNLV Rebels will be looking for their third victory of the season when the Air Force option comes to town in week eleven. The Rebels appeared to have a win against New Mexico in week ten before the Lobos scored a touchdown with 1:22 left to wrap up a 31-28 decision. UNLV dominated total yardage 485-306 with plenty of running and passing while UNM totaled 301 rushing yards because they don't put the ball in the air. Blake Decker threw for 271 yards but a pair of interceptions ruined a strong effort. Devonte Boyd was the receiver of choice with eleven catches for 108 yards while Shaquille Murray-Lawrence paced the rushing attack with 125 yards and two scores with Decker contributing another 76 yards and a touchdown.
The under is 5-0 in Falcons last 5 games following a S.U. win and is 5-0 in Falcons last 5 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while going 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. For UNLV the under is 6-0 in Rebels last 6 games following a S.U. loss while the over is 4-0 in Rebels last 4 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game with the under going 5-0 in Rebels last 5 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. Head to head the Falcons are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings in UNLV and the home team is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 meetings while the over is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings. The Falcons have won the last two meetings but I think the Falcons have improved enough on bot sides of the ball to grab the win here...
