The Boise State Broncos go on the road to face the defense of the Utah State Aggies on Friday.
The Boise State Broncos have really turned up the intensity in winning four straight after downing Colorado State 41-10 on the road to up their record to 5-1. The boxscore tells the story with the Broncos rolling up nearly 600 yards while holding the Rams to 256 yards and forcing three turnovers. The Broncos dominated the airwaves with quarterback Brett Rypien completing 22-35 for 339 yards with a touchdown and interception while Shane Williams-Rhodes hit on a 53 TD strike. Thomas Sperbeck led the receiving corps with 178 yards on five catches with a pair of scores while Jeremy McNichols was the main man on the ground with 104 yards on 17 carries with two more TD’s.
The Utah State Aggies will be leaning on their defense once again with star quarterback Chuckie Keeton out once again. The offense carried their share of the workload in week six as they pummeled Fresno State 56-14 on the road. The Aggies led 29-7 after 30 minutes and didn’t stop until the final gun as they totaled 482 yards in a balanced attack while the Bulldogs were limited to 194 yards and threw three interceptions. Kent Myers led an efficient USU passing attack by hitting 18-25 for 260 yards and a touchdown with Hunter Sharp and Devonte Robinson combining for ten receptions for 179 yards with Robinson recording a TD. Devante Mays was the Broncos top runner with 92 yards on nine touches with three trips to the end zone while Damion Hobbs added another 50 yards and a TD.
