The Line: Utah Utes -6.5 -- Over/Under: 56
The Arizona State Sun Devils travel to play the undefeated Utah Utes in a Pac-12 conference game.
The Utah Utes are coming off of a close win against Cal last weekend. The Utah offense is averaging 37 points per game with 401.8 yards per game. Quarterback Travis Wilson who has 683 yards with 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions leads the Utah offense. The Utah rushing attack is led by Devontae Booker who has 665 yards with 6 touchdowns. Booker is one of the best running backs in the country and he has been Utah’s best offensive weapon. The Utah receivers are also led by Devontae Booker who has 194 yards. Britain Covey also catches passes for Utah with 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Utah defense has given up 19.8 points per game with 392 yards per game. The Utah defense has 11 sacks, 5 fumble recoveries, and 12 interceptions. Utah has looked impressive all year and will look to stay in the playoff hunt against Arizona State this weekend.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off of a win against Colorado this past weekend. The ASU offense is averaging 31 points per game with 446 yards per game. The ASU offense is led by quarterback Mike Bercovici who has 1604 yards with 14 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Demario Richard leads the Arizona State rushing attack with 529 yards and 4 touchdowns. Richard was injured in his last game for ASU and is questionable for this week. Tim White leads all of Arizona State’s receivers with 278 yards and 5 touchdowns. Arizona State’s defense has allowed 26.2 points per game with 382.8 yards per game. Arizona State’s defense has 19 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries, and 6 interceptions. Arizona State might be starting to role this year and may be a team to watch in the Pac-12 South. The winner of this Arizona State/Utah game will take over first place in the South.
Arizona State is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. Arizona State is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The under is 5-1 in Arizona State’s last 6 games overall. Utah is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Utah is 10-4 ATS vs. a team with the winning record. The under is 4-0 in Utah’s last 4 home games.
Utah missed out on a few opportunities to put Cal away last week but let them hang around until the very end. I expect them to refocus and take advantage of their chances against Arizona State. I look for Booker to have a huge game for Utah and for the Utes to win this one.
