The Utah Utes and the Arizona Wildcats face off on Saturday in Week 13 college football Pac-12 action.
The Utah Utes are 7-3 this season and they ended their two game losing streak by beating Stanford in overtime on Saturday. The Utah offense is averaging 31.4 points and 367.4 yards per game. QB Travis Wilson has completed 59.7 percent of his passes with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions. Devontae Booker leads the Utah run game with 1,113 yards and eight touchdowns and he has 30 receptions and two receiving touchdowns and Kenneth Scott is the Utes leading receiver with 33 catches and four touchdowns. The Utah defense is allowing 23.8 points and 388.4 yards per game forcing 17 turnovers and sacking opposing QB’s 47 times. Jared Norris has 90 tackles and four sacks, Note Orchard has 73 tackles including 16.5 sacks, and Hunter Dimick has 50 tackles and 9.0 sacks. Utah plays a style that keeps them in just about every game.
The Arizona Wildcats have played in plenty of close games this season and they are coming off of another close win beating Washington with a field goal as time expired. The Arizona offense is averaging 35.6 points and 492.2 yards per game and they are led by QB Anu Solomon who has completed 58 percent of his passes with 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Nick Wilson leads Arizona in rushing with 867 yards and none rushing touchdowns and Cayleb Jones is the Wildcats leading receiver with 58 catches and eight touchdowns. The Arizona defense allows 26.1 points and 445. 2 yards per game crating 18 turnovers and sacking the QB 27 times. Scooby Wright has 117 tackles including 12 sacks, Jared Tevis has 94 tackles, and Jourdon Grandon has 65 tackles. Arizona sill has a chance to win the Pac-12 South and go to the Championship game.
Utah is 8-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, and 5-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. Arizona is 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, 1-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-9 against the spread following a win. The underdog has covered the point spread in five of the last seven meetings of these two.
