Virginia Cavaliers (7-4) at Virginia Tech Hokies (4-6)

The Line: Virginia Tech Hokies +4 -- Over/Under:
The Virginia Cavaliers and the Virginia Tech Hokies will be matching up on the college football gridiron Friday from Lane Stadium.
Virginia enters this one at 7-4 on the season. The Cavaliers’ losses this year have come to Indiana, NC State, Pitt and Georgia Tech, while they’ve taken out Richmond, Ohio, Louisville, Miami FL, Duke, UNC and Liberty.
In their 30-27 OT loss to Georgia Tech, Virginia QB Bryce Perkins put up 217 yards and one TD, while also leading the rush on 73 yards and a score. Tops in receiving as usual was Olamide Zaccheaus with 111 yards on 11 grabs.
Over on the Virginia Tech side, they’re 4-6 this year. The Hokies have managed to take out Florida State, William & Mary, Duke and UNC, but fallen to ODU, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Miami FL.
In the Hurricanes game, Virginia Tech QB Ryan Willis logged 216 yards, one TD and two picks, while Steven Peoples provided 40 yards rushing. Tre Turner was the leading receiver for VT on his 80 yards from four catches.
The Cavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall. Virginia is also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 in November and 1-4 ATS in their last five Friday games.
Virginia is just 1-2 in their last three games, but that mark isn’t as bad as it seems. Pitt is a very good team, and it’s tough to do much of anything against Georgia Tech if you’re not built to stop their offense.
As for Virginia Tech, they’ve hit the skids during this four-game losing streak, and have allowed at least 31 points in each outing.
I like Virginia to finish strong and cover here.
