The Louisville Cardinals will go on the road to take on Wake Forest this Saturday.
Wake Forest is coming off their second loss in a row losing to NC State 35-17 last Saturday. Quarterback Kendall Hilton completed 12 of his 22 passes for 107 with no touchdowns or interceptions. Hilton had a big day on the ground carrying the ball 13 times for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns. Running back Tyler Bell carried the ball 11 times for 58 yards and no touchdowns. Receivers Chuck wade and Tabari Hines led the Demon Deacons in receiving combining for 9 catches for 85 yards and no touchdowns. Wake Forest is coming off a tough loss at home but will try to turn things around when they host Louisville this weekend.
Louisville is coming off of a close win at home against Boston College 17-14. Quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 15 of his 25 passes for 230 yards with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Jackson also ran for 15 yards and a touchdown. Running back Reggie Bonnafon carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards and no touchdowns. Wide Receiver Jamari Staples led the Cardinals with 4 catched for 96 yards and no touchdowns. Receiver Javonte Bagley also added 3 catches for 69 yards. Louisville will try to take this momentum with them on the road this weekend when they travel to Wake Forest.
Louisville is 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Cardinals are 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games in October. Wake Forest is 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 home games. The Demon Deacons are 1-5 against the spread in their last 6 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Wake Forest has been so inconsitent this year it is hard to put your faith in them. Lousiville has shown signs that they have the ability to be a good team. I think the team with better athletes will win this game. So in that case i will take the Louisville Cardinals to cover the spread on the road.
