CFB | Wyoming Cowboys (0-2) at Washington State Cougars (1-1)

The Washington State Cougars and the Wyoming Cowboys face off on Saturday in college football action.

The Washington State Cougars shook off their disappointing week one loss and rallied for the win at Rutgers in week two. The WSU offense is averaging 27 points and 485 yards of offense as they found their groove in week two. Washington State QB Luke Falk has completed 69.2 percent of his passes for 767 yards and six touchdowns. The Wazzu rushing attack is paced by Gerard Wicks who is averaging 5.0 yards per carry and Gabe marks is their leading receiver with 20 receptions and two touchdowns. The Washington State defense is allowing 29 points and 348 yards per game with four sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception.  Jeremiah Allison leads the Cougars with 23 tackles, Peyton Pelluer has 13 tackles, and Shalom Luani has 11 tackles. Washington State showed no quit last Saturday and it will be interesting to see how far that momentum takes them.

The Wyoming Cowboys have lost both of their first two games and they are looking for their first win of the season. The Wyoming offense is averaging 21 points and 396 yards but they are looking for some continuity. Cowboys QB Cameron Coffman is questionable this week and if he can’t go it will be Nick Smith who hasn’t looked good as backup QB Josh Allen is also out. Wyoming’s brightest spot has been the rushing attack as Brian Hill is averaging 8.8 yards per carry for 278 yards and two touchdowns and Tanner Gentry leads the receivers with 10 catches and a touchdown. The Wyoming defense is allowing 36 points and 467.5 yards with one sack and no turnovers. Lucas Wacha leads the Wyoming defense with 18 tackles, C Pownell Jr. has 16 tackles, and Robert Priester has 15 tackles. Wyoming will need to get better in a hurry if they hope to be competitive in this one.

Washington State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record, 4-1 against the spread in their last five September games, and 0-5 against the spread in their last five home games. Wyoming is 5-17 against the spread in their last 22 games, 0-4 against the spread in their last four non-conference games, and 0-4 against the spread in September games.

Due to the uncertainty at QB for Wyoming there is no line for this one as of yet but check back after the line is released and I will update this with my free pick.
