The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners head to LT Smith Stadium to face the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners are looking to finish the season as strong as they started it. The Roadrunners snapped a three game skid with a 12-10 decision over visiting Southern Mississippi. UTSA won it on Sean Ianno's 38 yardfield goal with two seconds remaining in a defensive struggle that the Roadrunners led 344-314 in yardage while the defense recovered a fumble and picked off a pass and eliminated the Golden Eagles ground game. The Roadrunners had some balance with David Glasco II totaled 108 yards on 16 carries with Brandon Armstrong adding 41 yards. Austin Robinson connected on 27-44 for 175 yards and an interception in a short passing attack.
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers control their own destiny as in sweep their schedule and the postseason is their's. The Hilltoppers won back to back contests and three of four as they trounced Army 52-24 behind 561 yards and a rare strong defensive effort that allowed 333 yards with 108 yards coming on a pair of Army scoring runs. Surprisingly Brandon Doughty didn't have to carry the entire load with 178 passing yards and three touchdowns. WKY was dominant on the ground although it was Leon Allen that was dominating with 33 carries for 345 yards with one yard, 12 yard and 80 yard touchddown gallops. Once WKY made a few stops they were golden because the Black Knights coulcn't get stops.
The Roadrunners are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win and the under is 6-0 in Roadrunners last 6 games in November while the Roadrunners are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall. For Western Kentucky the over is 4-0-1 in Hilltoppers last 5 games following a S.U. win and is 3-0-1 in Hilltoppers last 4 games following a ATS win while the over is 4-0 in Hilltoppers last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. This game reminds me of the Hilltoppers match up with Army because if they get a few stops I feel they will do plenty of scoring...
