NIU Huskies (1-4) at Western Michigan Broncos (5-0)

The Northern Illinois Huskies travel to the Western Michigan Broncos looking to continue their dominance of this series.
The Northern Illinois Huskies are not accustomed to losing so an 0-4 start was more then surprising. The Huskies finally got in to the win column with a 31-24 victory at Ball State as they dominated total yardage 653-427 but hurt themselves with three turnovers. NIU did anything they wanted too with quarterback Anthony Maddie going 26-41 for 298 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception while rushing for 160 yar0ds and a score on 14 carries. Joel Bouagnon was a strong second option for the Huskies on the ground with 153 yards and a trip to the endzone on 21 totes while Kenny Golliday totaled 13 receptions for 184 yards with 14 yard and 22 yard scoring strikes.
The Western Michigan Broncos have been strong on both sides of the ball and have knocked off a pair of Big Ten clubs on their way to a 5-0 record. The Broncos exploded against Central Michigan 49-10 on the road in week five as a three point favorite. The Broncos outgained their rivals 424-277 and forced a pair of turnovers including a pick six. Broncos quarterback Zach Terrell was deadly efficient on 15-21 for 170 yards and a trio of touchdowns with Corey Davis catching six throws for 72 yards and two scores. WMU was even better on the ground with Ja0rvion Franklin rambling for 132 and a pair of touchdowns on 23 touches to lead six other runners.
Northern Illinois are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on fieldturf and Northern Illinois are 0-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record while Northern Illinois are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The under is 6-0 in Western Michigan’s last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and Western Michigan are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game while the under is 6-1 in Western Michigan’s last 7 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. Western Michigan is better then any team in the MAC and are certainly better then Northern Illinois so the question is do they pound their nemesis…
