Western Michigan Broncos -17 O/U: 63
The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Western Michigan Broncos will match up on the college football circuit Saturday.
Central Michigan enters this one at 2-2 overall. The Chippewas have taken out Albany and Akron so far but fallen to Wisconsin and Miami-FL.
In the Hurricanes game, Chippewas QB David Moore had 217 yards and a pick, while Kobe Lewis added 45 rush yards. Kalil Pimpleton led the receivers there with 73 yards on 11 grabs.
Over on the Western Michigan side, they’re 2-2 this year as well. The Broncos won against Monmouth and Georgia State but dropped against Michigan State and Syracuse.
In the Syracuse loss, WMU quarterback Jon Wassink had 356 yards with two TDs and a pick, and LeVante Bellamy logged 165 yards and two scores. Giovanni Ricci had 105 yards and a TD there receiving as well.
The Chippewas are 5-1 ATS in their last six in September and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games. Central Michigan is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 on turf and 2-6 ATS in their last eight conference games.
Meanwhile, the Broncos are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 on turf and 2-7 ATS in their last nine conference games. Western Michigan is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 overall and the over is 7-2 in their last nine overall.
All things considered, the Chippewas haven’t performed too badly this year outside of a Miami game they should have won and a Wisconsin game they had no chance at winning. Still, I’m not convinced CMU has the goods to keep up here, so I’m going with the Broncos on the cover here.
