Delhi Capitals +110 / Mumbai Indians -138
The Delhi Capitals will host the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
The Delhi Capitals had a solid win in the previous round as they defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad away from home. The batting was led by Shreyas Iyer and Colin Munro as the pair scored 45 and 40 respectively. The match was won by DC by their bowlers. Kagiso Rabada was exceptional as the South African took 4 wickets while conceding only 22 runs. Kemo Paul was also very good as the West Indian took 3 wickets including the dismissals of Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson. The DC bowling unit is firing exceptionally well and they have a good variety of bowlers to make it tough for all opposition.
On the other side of the coin, the Mumbai Indians also won their previous match as they beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Lasith Malinga returned to the team for MI and the Sri Lankan was very impressive as he took 4 wickets for 31 runs. MI restricted RCB to 171 on a very flat wicket. The Mumbai Indians batting was led by Quinton de Kock and Hardik Pandya as the pair was vital in ensuring that the team chased down the runs.
The Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals played at the start of the season in Mumbai. It was a high scoring game that was won by the Delhi Capitals. The pitch for this match is expected to produce another high scoring game.
This is expected to be a very close match since both DC and MI are playing very well. As far as a winner is concerned, I am going to pick the Delhi Capitals to win. Delhi have been more consistent this season and their bowling is likely to be too good for a vulnerable Mumbai batting. Furthermore, DC have the advantage of playing at home and I see that being decisive in a close contest such as this one.
