India will play against Bangladesh in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
India lost their first game of the tournament as they were beaten by England in their last outing. It was a disappointing performance by the Indian team as they lost by 31 runs. As it currently stands, India have 11 points from their 7 games
The bowling was not good by the Indian spinners as both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvidra Chahal were taken apart by the English batsmen. Chahal was especially disappointing as he went at an economy rate of over 8. Mohammad Shami was the best bowler for India as he took 5 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah also had a good game as he bowled with pace and accuracy. India conceded 337 runs which were too many for their batsmen.
It was a solid display by the Indian top-order as Rohit Sharma scored a century and Virat Kohli scored a half-century. Unfortunately for India, Sharma and Kohli were both dismissed at vital moments and that meant that India were not good enough to reach the target. A slight concern regarding the form of MS Dhoni was raised as the keeper player a very selfish inning at the end of the match.
India need to win one more game to secure qualification and they will be hoping to get the points from this fixture.
On the other side of the coin, Bangladesh must win this match to keep their tournament alive.
Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 62 runs in their previous outing.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan were the two top batsmen for Bangladesh as both scored half-centuries. Bangladesh scored 262 runs in their 50 overs which proved to be enough.
The bowling was led by Shakib as he took 5 wickets to ensure that Bangladesh defended the total. Shakib was also very economical as he only conceded 29 runs in his 10 overs.
This is a tough match for Bangladesh but the team will be confident in their ability to cause an upset.
This match between India and Bangladesh will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Edgbaston has a pitch which is good for batting.
While India lost their previous match, I see them bouncing back and winning this fixture. The Indian bowling had a poor day against India but they have proven their ability through the tournament Bangladesh have a good batting unit but their bowling is lacking and I see that being a problem in this match. India are the stronger team and I see them being too strong for Bangladesh.
