Kings XI Punjab -110 / Royal Challengers Bangalore -110
The Kings XI Punjab will be at home in the IPL as they face the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB have looked incredibly poor this season and they are currently 0-6. The last time that RBC played was against Delhi Capitals in a match where they were beaten with ease. The batting was very poor by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they only managed 149 runs in their 20 overs. The majority of the top order failed with the likes of Parthiv Patel, AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis all getting low totals. Virat Kohli and Moeen Ali played well but it wasn’t enough to get RCB a fighting total. The bowling was also very average with the likes of Southee and Chahal getting hit for big runs. RCB look severely out of form and it will be tough for them to turn things around.
On the other side of the coin, KXIP also lost their previous match. It was a close match where KXIP scored 198 runs. KL Rahul played extremely well of Kings XI Punjab as the opener scored 100 off 64 balls. Chris Gayle also looked in destructive form as the West Indian scored 63 of 36 balls. Mohammad Shami bowled well for KXIP as the took 3 wickets for only 21 runs. The remainder of the bowlers were poor and that resulted in the team losing.
The pitch in Mohali should favour batting although it has been slow at times this season.
Both teams lost their previous game but I still see Kings XI Punjab as the clear winners in this match. Royal Challengers Bangalore look shattered and it will be very hard for them to turn things around after losing 6 games. KXIP batted very well in their previous game and I see the bowling firing this time around. With the advantage of playing at home, I see KXIP winning this match and getting 2 more points on the board.
