Mumbai Indians at Kolkata Knight Riders
|Date & Time||Sunday April 28, 2019, 10:30 AM (EDT)|
Kolkata Knight Riders +110 / Mumbai Indians -138
The Kolkata Knight Riders will host the Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens for a match in the Indian Premier League.
KKR have had a very poor few weeks and now must win the remainder of their matches if they wish to have any chance of making the finals. In their last outing, KKR were beaten by the Rajasthan Royals at home. It was a poor batting display by the Knight Riders as the likes of Chris Lynn, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell all failed. On a positive note, Dinesh Kartik found good form with the bat as the captain scored an impressive 97 runs. The bowling was decent by KKR as Chawla and Narine gave the team a chance but the batsman simply hadn’t scored enough runs.
On the other side of the coin, the Mumbai Indians looks very good at the moment. MI beat CSK away from home in their last match. It was a dominant performance by Mumbai as Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis impressed with the bat. The likes of Malinga, Krunal Pandya and Bumrah were exceptional with the ball. Mumbai look like a well-oiled machine and the team will be desperate to win this match and move top of the IPL ladder.
This will be the first time that MI and KKR will be playing each other this season. The pitch at the Eden Gardens has been very good for batting so both teams will look to post big runs.
This is KKR’s last chance to save the 2019 season as they must beat the Mumbai Indians at home. That being said, I see KKR losing this game. Mumbai look like an elite team and the visitors are firing on all levels. Mumbai are playing better cricket and I see them winning this match and ending KKR’s season early.
