Kolkata Knight Riders -150 / Royal Challengers Bangalore +120
In the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders will host the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens.
It has been a poor few games for KKR as the team has lost its past 3 fixtures. Over the past few weeks, KKR have struggled with issues such as illness and injury and that has hampered the performances of the team. That being said, KKR should be back to full strength for this match after the team has been resting for the past few days. In their last match, KKR lost to CSK. While the loss was disappointing, Chris Lynn impressed with the bat by scoring 82 runs off only 51 balls. The bowling was also decent for KKR as Sunil Narine bowled exceptionally. KKR are a very capable team and they will be confident in their ability to return to winning ways in this match.
On the other side of the coin, RCB have continued their poor season by losing another match. In their previous outing, Bangalore were beaten by Mumbai. The batting was poor as the most batsman failed. It is important to note that AB de Villiers played very well as the South African scored 75 runs. RCB have constantly been losing and their bowling looks very weak. With such poor form heading into this match, it is going to be tough for RCB to turn things around.
KKR and RCB played earlier in the season in Bangalore. KKR won that match after Andre Russell played an exceptional inning.
Looking at this particular fixture, I am going to pick KKR to win. The Kolkata Knight Riders have been a good team this season and they have a well-balanced team. RCB have big issues with their bowling and it seems unlikely they will be able to contain the likes of Chris Lynn and Andre Russell. KKR to win at home.
