The Mumbai Indians are set to host the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
CSK have had an incredible start to the season and they currently have a record of 3-0 as they head into this fixture. In their last match, CSK beat the Rajasthan Royals at home. It was a comprehensive win for CSK as the entire team contributed. MS Dhoni was the top batsman for Chennai as the captain scored an impressive 75 runs off 46 balls. Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir and Dwayne Bravo were the 3 star-bowlers for CSK as they combined to take 6 wickets. Bravo was especially impressive at the death as the bowled the important 20th over. CSK are looking like a well-oiled machine and they will be very tough to beat.
On the other side of the coin, the Mumbai Indian are struggling with a record of 1-2. Mumbai lost their last match as they were beaten by KXIP. It was a poor outing for the MI as they only managed 176 runs on a very flat wicket. Punjab easily chased down the total with 8 balls remaining. Mumbai have spent big on their players but the likes of Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Rohit Sharma are consistently failing. With such poor form heading into this match, it will be tough for MI to turn things around.
This match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium which means that this should be a very high scoring match. The boundaries are short and the pitch is very flat at the Wankhede Stadium this season.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick the Chennai Super Kings to win this match. CSK have been winning consistently while MI are struggling to find form. CSK have a better team and I see them winning this match away from home.
