Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai Indians
|Date & Time||Saturday April 13, 2019, 6:30 AM (EDT)|
Mumbai Indians -152 / Rajasthan Royals -152
The Mumbai Indians will face the Rajasthan Royals at home in the Indian Premier League.
The Mumbai Indians completed a massive chase in the previous match as the team chased down 197 runs to beat the Kings XI Punjab. Kieron Pollard was the main performer for MI as the West Indian allrounder scored 81 runs off only 31 balls. Outside of Pollard, the remainder of the MI batting lacked composure with the likes of Quinton de Kock and Hardik Pandya not performing at the levels that are expected from them. As far as the bowling was concerned, Rahul Chahar bowled exceptionally well as he maintained an economy rate of 6.50 which prevented KXIP from scoring in excess of 200. The win over KXIP will give MI tons of confidence as they head into this match.
On the other side of the coin, Rajasthan Royals were beaten in their previous match at home by the Chennai Super Kings. RR scored a subpar total of 151 which was mainly due to their consistent loss of wickets. The top scorer for RR was Ben Stokes who scored only 28 runs. Looking at the bowling, Ben Stokes starred with 2 wickets but the team had no real chances since the batting didn’t score enough runs to give RR a chance. The Royals are looking very fragile and it will be hard for them to win away from home considering their recent form.
The Wankhede Stadium is known for big totals so both RR and MI will look to score big runs.
Rajasthan Royals look like a team that is lacking confidence and belief. The Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have managed to turn around a poor start to the season and the win over KXIP will ensure the home team enters this match on a high. Pollard is playing exceptionally well and the team is looking very confident. With the crowd on their side, I see the Mumbai Indians winning this match.
