Mumbai Indians -131 / Royal Challengers Bangalore +119
The Mumbai Indians will be in action in the IPL as they face the Royal Challengers Bangalore at home at the Wankhede Stadium.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first match of the season as they beat Kings XI Punjab. It was a very impressive display by Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as the pair scored 67 and 59 respectively. Marcus Stoinis also batted well as he helped finish the chase. The bowling for RCB was led by Chahal as the leg spinner ended with 2 wickets. The Wankhede Stadium is very good for batting and the RCB batsmen will hope to use their new-found good form to score another big total for their team.
On the other side of the coin, the Mumbai Indians were beaten by the Rajasthan Royals in their last outing. Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma batted well for MI but the team had a poor finish with the likes of Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard not scoring enough runs in the death overs. The bowling was poor from the Mumbai Indian with Alzarri Joseph having a very poor outing as the West Indian conceded 53 runs at an economy rate of 17.67. Bumrah bowled well for Mumbai but he was an exception and that ended up costing the match. These conditions should be tough for bowling and the Mumbai Indians will need to find a solution since another display similar to the previous will result in another loss.
Mumbai lost their winning momentum in their last match which Bangalore seem to have found a good solution. RCB will be further aided by the addition of Dale Steyn who is expected to join the squad. The win against Punjab seems to have given RCB a boost and I see Virat Kohli and his team winning their second game for the season in Mumbai.
