Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals - 4/7/19 T20 Cricket - IPL Pick, Preview, Odds, and Prediction

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

In the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore will host the Delhi Capitals.

RCB have had a terrible start to the season as they are 0-5. In their last match, Royal Challengers Bangalore were beaten at home by the Kolkata Knight Riders. It was a heartbreaking loss for RCB as they had the game sealed but let it slip at the very end. RCB needed to defend over 53 runs of 15 balls but were victim to an outrageous inning by Andre Russell which saw them lose with 5 balls remaining. Tim Southee has a terrible game for RCB and the international star conceded 29 runs of the 19th over which ended up being very costly. As far as the batting was concerned, it was a very good display as the team posted 205 runs with big contributions from Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. That being said, RCB looked shattered after the loss and it will be hard for the team to bounce back in such a short time.

Delhi Capitals also lost their last match as they were beaten by Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a poor batting display by DC as they only managed 139 runs and lost comfortably. The bowling was decent for Delhi but the team simply didn’t have enough runs. Delhi are currently 2-3 for the season and they will hope that they can win this match since they are playing the team that is bottom of the table.

The pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is expected to similar to the one which was used on Friday. This should mean that both RCB and DC should score big runs.

All in all, I am going to pick the Delhi Capitals to win this match. RCB look shattered and their bowling is simply too weak to compete at this level. Delhi have a better-balanced side and I see them getting their third win of the season.

Pick:
Delhi Capitals
