In the Indian Premier League, The Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against Kings XI Punjab.

RCB have found some form and the addition of Dale Steyn has given the entire squad a massive boost. In their previous match, RCB beat CSK at home. Parthiv Patel led with the batting as he scored an impressive 53 runs off 37 balls. The bowling was the main asset for RCB during the win as the team defended a below-par total. Dale Steyn was exceptional as the South African paceman took 2 wickets while conceding only 29 runs. Umesh Yadav also took 2 wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket. RCB also beat KKR last week and the team looks very confident as they enter this clash.

On the other side of the coin, the Kings XI Punjab are in a tight contest for 4th spot on the ladder. In their previous outing, KXIP played against the Delhi Capitals and were beaten comfortably. While the loss was disappointing, Chris Gayle batted very well as the West Indian scored 69 runs off 37 balls. The KXIP bowling was disappointing as they failed to cause DC any trouble on a relatively tough batting wicket. KXIP haven’t been at their best recently and it will be tough to turn things around away from home.

The pitch for this match is expected to be friendly for batting. The likes of Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli should all enjoy batting on the surface presented for this match.

Looking at all the information, I am going to pick RCB to win. T20 cricket is hugely dependent on form and RCB have great form while KXIP are struggling. RCB have the advantage of playing at home and I see them getting 2 points from this fixture.

Pick:
Royal Challengers Bangalore
