Rajasthan Royals at Royal Challengers Bangalore

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Royal Challengers Bangalore -150 / Rajasthan Royals +120
The two bottom teams in the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, will be playing each other. As it currently stands, RR can still qualify but it seems like RCB will play the remainder of the games for the purpose of pride.
RCB lost their previous match as they were beaten away from home by DC. The bowling let RCB down as they conceded 287 runs on a tough batting track. Umesh Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were both very expensive as the pair conceded 80 runs in only 8 overs. The batting was decent although the likes of Parthiv Patel, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli failed to capitalize on good starts. Motivation will be low for RCB as they have been eliminated from the tournament and that will make it tough for the team to turn things around.
On the other side of the coin, RR kept their season alive by beating SH in their previous match. It was a very close match where Sanju Samson and Liam Livingstone led the team by scoring 48 runs and 44 runs respectively. The bowling was led by Oshane Thomas and Jaydev Unadkat who both took 2 wickets each. The Rajasthan Royals must win the remainder of their matches to keep their season alive and that should ensure that the team will have high motivation.
This match is set to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The pitch at this stadium is expected to favour the batters so this should be a high scoring game.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick the Rajasthan Royals to win this match. The Rajasthan Royals have been playing better cricket and the visitors have more to play for. Oshane Thomas, Sanju Samson and rest of the players look very strong and I see the Royals leaving Bangalore with 2 points.
