The West Indies and England will play the 2nd test match of their 3-match series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at North Sound in Antigua.
West Indies were exceptional in the opening game as they won in a dominant manner. The West Indies batting was led by Jason Holder, who scored 202, and Shane Dowrich who scored 116. It was an exceptional 2nd innings batting performance by the West Indies as they scored 415 runs to ensure England had no chance of winning. As far as the West Indies bowling was concerned, it was an exceptional display by Kemar Roach who took 5 wickets in England’s first innings to dismiss the visitors for only 77 runs. Roston Chase bowled incredibly well in the second innings as the spinner took 8 wickets to secure the victory.
As far as England is concerned, it was a very disappointing game as the batting failed miserably. The top-order has been failing for England for a while and it is the team management looks to have no answers to their problem. The loss was a big shock for England as they entered this series as big favourites and the result disappointed most people. Former captain, Alastair Cook questioned the team's preparation while England legend, Bob Willis told the media the batters were not good enough to play for England. With such a big loss in the opening game, England will find it tough to make a comeback in this match.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick the West Indies to win this match. The West Indies are looking very strong and the team is playing with tons of confidence. The West Indies bowling and batting are both firing which is very exciting for the team. England looked shattered after their loss and I see the visitors losing this match.
