West Indies vs England - 2/27/19 One Day International Cricket - 4th ODI Pick, Preview, Odds, and Prediction

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

West Indies and England will continue their ODI series at the National Cricket Stadium in Grenada for the 4th game of the series. The third match was abandoned due to rain meaning the series still remains at 1-1.

The big news around the England camp will be regarding Ben Stokes. The England all-rounder was not named in the team for the 3rd ODI due to a knee injury and it is unclear whether Stokes will be fit for this fixture. If Stokes is missing, England will lack some balance and the Durham player provided with both bat and ball. On a positive, Chris Woakes should return for this match which should give the bowling more control. England have not been at their best during this tour and the visitors will need to improve their performance from the that during the 2nd ODI if they wish to win this match.

On the other side of the coin, Andre Russell has been named in the West Indies squad for this match. Russell is a very exciting player and his recent performances at the PSL give the hosts great promise. Carlos Brathwaite is expected to be dropped for this match after he failed in both matches. West Indies have been batting well with Chris Gayle in great form after his 100 in the opening match and 50 in the second match. The fans are getting behind the West Indies after their recent wins which means we should expect great home support for this match.

The weather at St George's has meant that the pitch has been covered for the past few days. With that in mind, it is expected that the ball could move around which will favour the seamers from both teams.

As far as predicting a winner is concerned, I am going to pick the West Indies to win this match. The West Indies had a very strong win in the previous match and the confidence from that victory should lead them to win in front of their home fans.
