England will finish their tour of the West Indies by play a 3-match T20I series. The first match of the series is set to take place at the Darren Sammy National Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
West Indies are the current T20 World Cup champions and will be feeling very confident as they enter this stage of the tour. The West Indies had a strong finish to the ODI series as they won the final ODI by 7 wickets. During the win, Chris Gayle was exceptional as he scored 77 runs in only 27 balls. The bowlers were also exceptional for the West Indies as Oshane Thomas took 5 wickets while conceding only 21 runs. Andre Russell is expected to return to the team for the T20Is and his addition will give the team better balance.
On the other side of the coin, it has been a humbling tour for England as they lost the Test series and then failed to win the ODI series. There were huge expectations on England as many predicted England to win every match on this tour. While that hasn't happened, this will still be a good chance for the England team to return to winning ways. Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan all look in good form with the bat and they will be vital in ensuring that England posts a large total. The England bowling has not been very good for the past few weeks and it is going to be hard for the likes of Woakes and Curran to turn their forms around against a strong West Indies batting unit.
The pitch at the Darren Sammy National Stadium is known as a batting track with lots of high scores. Expect plenty of boundaries from both England and the West Indies.
As far as the result for this match is concerned, I am going to pick the West Indies to win. The West Indies are running hot after their win in the last ODI. The T20 format is suited for the West Indies and I see them easily beating a struggling England side.
