India and the West Indies will finish their ODI series at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain. India leads the series 1-0 so the West Indies must win this match or the visitors will take the title.

India were outstanding in the previous ODI as they defeated the West Indies by 59 runs. Virat Kohli was the star performer for India as he scored 120 runs off 125 balls. Shreyas Iyer was also very impressive as he supported his captain by scoring 71 of 68 balls. India scored 279 in their 50 overs which was a big total for the surface. The Indian bowling was led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took 4 wickets. Kumar dismissed key batsmen like Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran. Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav also contributed with wickets to ensure the team won with some comfort.

Looking at the West Indies, the bowling was decent with the team consistently taking wickets. Carlos Brathwaite took 3 wickets while Roston Chase bowled an outstanding spell where he had an economy rate of only 3.7. Unfortunately for the West Indies, the batting was poor with key players like Gayle and Hetmyer failing to make contributions. Evin Lewis was the best batsman for the West Indies as he scored 65 runs off 80 balls. The West Indies lost vital wickets throughout the match and that made it impossible for them to chase down the runs. With this being the final match for the series, the West Indies must perform with the bat.

This match is being played on the same surface as the second ODI. The pitch is expected to be on the slower side which means that the batsman must take time to get set. 270 should be a par total on this pitch.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick India to win this match. India have all the momentum on their side having won the T20 series and the previous ODI. The West Indies are struggling with their batting and I see them having problems scoring enough runs. India are the stronger side and I see them winning this fixture and taking the series 2-0.
